[DAZED]

Formed in 1997, [DAZED] was one of the main acts in the Toulouse neo-metal scene between 1998 and 2001.

Sound and context

With a style combining the roots of neo-metal, thrash, hardcore, and more recently emo, the band managed to stay original, rejecting the labels people tried to stick on them. Named the Rock Revelation of Midi-Pyrénées by the Jeunesses Musicales de France in 2000, [DAZED] began recording their first maxi single in February 2001, but it was not released until June of the following year after a long break and many problems that are now far behind them.

Their first EP, “thefakesilence,” represents what the band was between 1999 and 2001: a powerful and furious metal band. But it is on stage that you can discover their transformation, between emotion and rage, without denying their past influences.
